My Mirena Story

After the birth of my daughter Cortlynn , I decided that I wanted to get on birth control. During my pregnancy I had hypertension which I still have and my doctor informed me that the pill would not be a good choice for me. She suggested this new magical birth control method that I had never heard of before. It was the Mirena!

Now if you are not familiar with the Mirena, it is a small “T” shape device that is placed inside of your uterus. Once in place all you have to do is a monthly check to see if your strings are in place and that’s it! I was like you mean to tell me I can have a birth control that can be put in place and basically forgot about! I was sold.
